about 2 years ago, you know when you first bring them home and you can not give them enough to eat they just cry and cry and you feel helpless like you are not making enough milk or something? Would if be a good idea to say start pumping a few days before your due date, not to induce labor but just so there isnt that painful waiting period for your supply to come in? Thoughts?

Because they're babies! LOL It's their job to be fussy want to nurse all the time. That's what you want.. Because I'm sure you know, the more baby nurses, more milk will be produced..

Here's a cute blog about newborn behavior:

Right, I knew everything about the marble part....lol. If that is the case why do they act like they are starving and cant get enough the first few days?

No, generally speaking, it's usually not recommended to pump before birth. Colostrum is all a baby needs the first few days before your mature milk comes in. A newborn's stomach is about the size of a marble. It's important to nurse often because nursing often is what brings your milk in.

wow lucky :) it took me 3 days each time and this will be my 3rd one breastfeeding.Wouldn't the colostrum still come in just in a bottle, wouldnt that be nice you could tell em to give em a bottle while u were in the hospital??? ha. Dont get me wrong I love breastfeeding I just hate that waiting period..

Oh I should also add that my milk came in a lot faster the second time around, it came in the afternoon after my daughter was born.

No because the colostrum is an integral part of breastfeeding and that is enough for your little one till you milk comes in.

maybe, maybe not, maybe they dont think everyone has access to a pump? idk, but i intend on asking my doc next week. I know that in makes your uterus contract so thats probly why they dont.

I dont think your body is wired to do that....otherwise wouldn't health professionals recommend it??
