I have an eight week old son. I'm exlusivley breastfeeding day and night. No suppliments, no pacifies, and no time limit. I carry him around in a sling and let him nurse on demand. I co sleep and let him eat whenever all threw the night. I just dont get why I started my period so early!!! I have two other children. I have a 3 year old daughter who I also breastfed and got my period back at 7 months, and another daughter who is almost 2 and I got my period back at 10 months with her. Has anyone expericed getting thier period back even though they were EB?

I exclusively BF my son until 6 months then he started solids, but still nursed on demand until 16 months. I, like you, was one of the unlucky few who's bodies barely skipped a beat after Otto was born. I bled for three weeks after delivery, the bleeding stopped and three weeks to the day later I got my period. It was on time every month after that until I got pregnant again when my little guy was 11 months old.

I'm 8 weeks postpartum and I think I'm starting my period. I stopped bleeding during week five and then started spotting last week. I also started the minipill four days ago, so that could be part of it. My baby is exclusively BF but he's starting to sleep 6-7 hours at night some nights, so I'm wondering if that's why--I don't know.

My mom did exactly what you are doing, and she had 9 children. She said with the first couple it took a while to come back, but then your body gets so used to everything that it comes back quicker after you have had a couple of children. It's normal, sorry :)

Don't lose all hope...I thought that was what was happening to me, but after that 2 month post partum period I didn't get another one until my daughter was 8 months old, which made more sense since she had been on solids and taking less breast milk.

Yes my daughter is 8 weeks I am exclusively bfing and I don't suppliment either with pacifiers or anything. I got mirena at my 6 week follow up and I have had my period for two weeks now! Ugh... So ya I'm definately experiencing it. Sometimes people get their cycle sometimes they don't it's weird like that. I hope this makes you feel better :)

My mother nursed all 7 of her children and they nursed around the clock. She would get her period back at 6 weeks every single time. And her babies definitely ate a lot, they were always off the charts on weight.

yup it sucks. My Dr tryed to put me on a pill for BC that it said should not be taken while BF. So we are using condoms. It sucks. But feeding my baby is first. Boys are suck little stinkers. lol Gotta love em!!!

yea thats why i'm so mad!! I thought yes, i'm going to get a break from my period since it was like that with my other kids. But I guess if different with every child, just like ever pregnancy is different too. So far since he is my 1st son its like everything is oppisite than with my daughters. I'm not taking BC either, so I better get too it. I cant handle another one so early.

yes i got mine back right where it left off. Now it comes every month. I hate it, but everything elts is normal. my son is almost 6 months and still BF. I have asked my Dr, and he said as long as my son is gaining a good amount of weight then its no prob. So dont worry to much about it. You say with you other children it didnt come back right away, so you mean there is still hope??? lol
