Hi! My baby is 8 months old and i was wondering if anybody has taught their baby a gesture that means he would like to nurse?

We used the milk sign also (like a milking a cow, unfortunately, except we taught it one handed so it's not so obvious). Our daughter didn't use it much, though, and my son (13 mos) hasn't used it either. After my daughter learned to talk a little, she would just ask for "mommy milk", which was fine.

sign it right before you feed them, every single time. I start it as soon as we prepare to nurse or when I sit him in the high chair, all the way until the nipple or spoon hits his mouth.

If you say milk, and sign milk, and they are having milk, they will make the connection. But you gotta do it more than once. Do it consistently.

I use the sign for food. You put your thumb and all 4 fingers together, just like you would for a puppet, and then tap your mouth with it. I then say the word food also. My son also eats some solids so I use a sign that covers everything. Also, the sign for drink is, you hold your hand in the shape that you would put around a cup and tilt it up and down at you lips, basically like your holding an invisible cup.

Yup, sign "milk." I find it kinda cute, cause my son (who is 6 months old) has always squeezed my breast while he is drinking, and as you know the sign for milk is to open and close the fist. "Like you are milking a cow." Haha.

You could use the sign for milk... that's what we do.
