I LOVE my Lansinoh Affininity double pump and everyone else I've talked to threw their madela and evenflow out and bought this. It's affordable you can get it anywhere I got mine a walmart. I used it before I arête going to work to increase my bm supply an storage supply for the freezer, and now I use it at work. I love this pump and I love everything about the lansinoh company from the lanolin cream to breast pads storage bags ect.!

Here is the direct link to all the info and how it compares to all the other pumps.

Avent double electric pump was a great investment for my family, I was one of two woman to have a baby in 2009. My cousin Bought it with her last child and gifted the pump to and know I will gift it back to another cousin in a few months when she delivers. and so we will go back and forth for each new baby. the cost was about 200 plus tax but well worth it.If you use storage bags instead of bottle while you are at work, you won't have to but so many bottles. I hope this was helpful and have fun and enjoy the new little one

I love my medela freestyle. It is a double sided handsfree pump. It is a bit expensive but worth the 16 months I have used it so far.

I bought the Avent Twin Electric breastpump and it does just as good a job as the one i used whilst in hospital. Id highly recommend it. As the other ladies said though, it also depends on your circumstances and how often you want to use a pump, because there are much cheaper options :)

It depends on your life. If you will be working full time, you definitely want the big double sided one that fits in a backpack and can plug in or run on batteries. If you only need the occasional bottle, a small hand pump will be fine.
I bought an Avent pump because at the time it was the only one that would let me pump directly into the serving bottle. The bottles also came in two different styles and three sizes with 4 different kinds of nipples and 3 different sippy cup tips. I've used the same system from birth to weaning with two kids so far. They now also make a double sided electric one that you can also use as two hand pumps. If I have another baby I'll want one of those.

It really depends on your situation. If you are pumping exclusively then I would go with a double electric pump. I had the Pump in Style by Medela. I used it 7-10 times a day and it only took 20 minutes to empty both breasts. I had an excellent milk supply even after a year of just pumping. I continued to use this pump for my second child that I did breast fed. But if you are only planning on using a pump a couple of time then I am sure there are much cheaper options.

I really liked my Medela single side motorized pump, I don't remember what it was called. I pumped 2-3 times a day with it and after the roughly 18 mos I used it, it still was going strong so I passed it on to a new mom when I was done. The Medela bottles I think are great, and easy to clean (important to me since I don't have a dishwasher). They also make pump and store freezer bags that you can pump directly into instead of trying to pour. I used it battery powered, which does use a lot of batteries...if you go this route definitely get some rechargeable batteries.

I used the First Years pump because it was compatible with the bottles I chose to give my son when I returned to work part-time. It was less than $100 and definitely got the job done. I've heard that the hospital grade ones are the best, but mine has gotten my son to 16 months and he's still going strong with breastfeeding. I also liked the the shields on my pump weren't hard plastic like some others we looked at.
