Does anyone have some advise for me, When our little girl was born my husband was very hands on he was just amazing, she is now 14 months old and really becoming a daddies girl, for the last couple of months I have notice a significant change in my husbands behaviour towards our girl, he wants to go do his own thing like play computer games rather than play with her and I have to force him to come to the park with us, she is noticing and its upsetting to see her watch the other dads playing with there children and hers just isnt there any advise would be most welcome

Maybe he's just feeling overwhelmed and doesn't realize it. Maybe you could ask him to schedule his "me time" and schedule his time with the baby? That way everybody feels like they're getting what they want.

I know my husband can also get over involved with games too. Sometimes our daughter sits on his lap and plays with another controller while he plays. Then they both get what they want. Although that won't solve everything maybe it will help some.

I get that dad's need "me time" just like mom's do. My husband usually spends his Friday nights in the garage doing his "man things." He usually doesn't go out until she's ready to go to sleep though and then I let him be outside and I get to relax inside. It works for us, maybe you could suggest something like that. Did you tell him what you've noticed?

I would just ask your husband what is up? Maybe he just needs to be told how upset he is making your daughter. I hope things turn around for you :)
