I was just wondering what other moms take while they are nursing? What vitamins, supplements, teas etc..
I take my prenatal vitamin, some flax seed oil, acidophilus, and Iodine. I like to drink some ginger, chamomile or green tea (caffeine free) maybe once a day. What vitamins/supplements/herbal teas are NOT safe to use while breastfeeding?? Just curious to know! Thanks:)

I have been horribly slacking, but I want to start taking my Flinstone's Vitamin again... I can't take prenatals because their is too much iron, I get more then enough iron from what I eat.
I'm thinking about going back to the doctor to have them check my Vitamin D levels, I was very deficient in them before I got pregnant and was put on like 10,000IUs or some crazy amount that I had to have a prescription for.

Here are somethings I found that may be of some help to you.
Watch out for herbs — even some seemingly innocuous herbal teas. Stick to reliable brands and choose flavors that are considered safe during lactation, including orange spice, peppermint, raspberry, red bush, chamomile, and rosehip. Read labels carefully to make sure other herbs haven't been added to the brew, and drink them only in moderation.

Hope something there helps. :)

Yeah, I eat oatmeal everyday! I love it. I have never had problems with my supply, it just definitely doesn't hurt eating it. I like to take a few supplements each for a different reason though.

For supply boost, eating oatmeal daily is a great way to increase production! I don't like taking vitamins or supplements. When I started eating oatmeal after like the first day I was becoming engorged because I was already producing enough milk, but I love oatmeal.

I take the usual prenatal/postnatal vitamin, and as well I take a wild salmon oil supplement. I heard the DHA in it will make the baby smarter. Or maybe it was something about the immune system... I've also taken Fenugreek for supply, but only 1 capsule a day for 2-3 days at a time.

I don't take anything, but sometimes drink mother's milk tea (I like the flavor and don't mind the supply boost).
