Could anyone tell me if I can give my 6 month old regular tap water, or does it have to be cooled boiled water? Also, after 6 months, is it ok to no longer sterilise bottles and just wash them carefully? I think this is ok, but want a bit of reassurance before I start (not that she will go near a bottle, but here's hoping!)
Thanks!

I stopped worrying about sterilizing and boiling things when I caught my daughter chewing on the edge of a throw rug @ about 5 months old. As long as your tap water is safe, I wouldn't worry about it. You could use a Brita or PUR filter if you want.

I don't know about you, but here in the UK it's recommended that you sterilise bottles and such until 6 months. Reason being, by that age they're usually mobile and playing with their toys anyway, so it'd be futile to continue sterilising.
And it depends on your water - i've been giving my LO tap water since she was 6 months but if you're not sure of your water "safety" continue giving her cooled boiled water.
