My baby is now 6 months and I have breastfed him since he was born. I hadn't had a problem till about a month ago, I started feeling very weak and with no energy what so ever. Is it normal to feel like this and what can I do to increase my energy? Has it happen to anyone else?

As your baby gets busier and more active, obviously, so do you. It's easy to neglect yourself when this happens. Make sure you are keeping up your nutrition. Eat healthy fats, complex carbs, lots of fruit and veg, and be sure to get plenty of iron too. It's possible that you're suffering from anemia which can definitely make you feel fatigued. After your little goes down to bed tonight, prepare yourself a little snack plate or a pasta salad or something like that to put in the fridge for tomorrow.

Yeah I would definitely get a going on a prenatal again, I bet that's your problem. Nursing takes a lot out of women. The baby will get what it needs from you, but if you don't take care of yourself then you will start to suffer.

taking flaxseed oil (capsules) along with the prenatals is really helpful with energy and milk production. I have been taking the flax/prenatal combo since I was pregnant.

I only finished taking the ones I had left after the pregnancy, which lasted like two months and I didn't get anymore. I think I need to go buy some more because there are days that I feel all shaky... hopefully that helps.. thanks for the advice.

Have you been good about taking your prenatal vitamin? I've noticed when i forget for a few days I start to feel really tired and get headaches.
