I've been trying to get my10 month old to use a sippy cup....but haven't been too successful at it. Currently, he gets pumped breastmilk from a bottle while I'm at work, but I'd like to transition to a cup once he's a year old. Is this too ambitious of a goal?

I gave my daughter a sippy around 8 months when she started solids. I just let her play with it. I'd say by 9 months she mastered drinking out of it on her own. Just let him experiment with it. He'll get it.

My son who will be 10 months this month has been using a sippy cup since he was 7 months old. I am still a breatfeeding mom to this day and his dad gives him a cupt with his lunch and whenever he wants something to drink. He does not get a bottle until bedtime and that bottle is filled with water.
