what is the best thing for eczema on babies?

I agree, Burts Bees! I use the Momma Belly Butter on eczema. I have had eczema my whole life and have used all types of things. The best thing to get rid of eczema is getting rid of sugar and processed foods in your diet. Doesn't sound fun but it really works!

I have a ten year old that has really bad eczema on her hands & recently I purchased "Spectro Jel" for eczema ( they have one for kids too ) the results were incredable just overnight! But if it's too old for your baby than I'd recomend anything from "Burts Bees" I hope this helps! Hind thought...check with your pharmasist or doctor first...but Tee Tree Oil works on most skin irritations too.Good Luck!

Our pediatrician recommended Hydrolatum for my 3 year old, but also said I could use it on my baby. It's behind the pharmacy counter, but not prescription. It comes in a tub and is very greasy, but one application worked wonders! He also said that if worst comes to worst, cooking oil and Crisco can be used, but I think I'll stick with the Hydrolatum.

my 18 month old son has always had very sensitve skin. i'm not a fan of steriods, but we had to resort to a prescription eucerin. it's a god send. i went on vacation and forgot it last year and he came back one big red bump! he's seems to get better with age though. now he jsut has random breakouts and i don't have to use the lotion everyday. i also like straight up olive oil and he really loves that too.

I have found that "Aveeno Baby" products do really well for babies with eczema or really dry skin. Also, Eucerin lotion works well too. I hope this helps. Both of my children have dry skin so I know what you are going through.
does their skin get worse when swimming? my sons does, and im hoping its just a normal reaction cause of the salt water in the pool, but hopefully not the pool itself causing it. im just guessing its eczema. he's rashy and red, dry.
