I breastfed my baby and it is not usually reccommended to give them water until they transition to a sippy cup but I have three children and during the summer months I always gave them water. I only gave them water though like once a week because it can upset their stomachs. I think it depends on the baby.

breastmilk is 90 something % water (I forget the exact #). it is not necessary of offer a breastfed baby water. even past 6 months, they just don't need it. if they are thirsty, breastmilk is a better choice than water.

I started my daughter at 7 months. That is when I introduced the sippy cup and just put a little water in there since you don't want to start them on juice at such a young age. I wouldn't recommend a lot of water, but a little bit of the baby purified water is fine.

usually not recomended to give baby water until at least 6 months of age. You can offer it then in a sippy cup if you want.
