My darling daughter just celebrated her first birthday (BTW we have an AWESOME nursing story- see the end) and I STILL have not gotten a period. I've been taking pregnancy tests each month, just to be sure. I am on a low dose of birth control, but it was nowhere near this long before my first menstrual period with my son.
I am wondering how long you ladies were nursing before you had an actual period.
Our nursing story: Juliet was born with a heart defect and had open heart surgery. She had to be fed through a tube until she was two months old. Once her tube was removed she became a champion nurser! Woo hoo! It's entirely possible to nurse a baby after a long stay in the hospital and only starting to do it two months after birth ;-P I did pump that whole time, and I am so proud of my girlie for latching so well and doing such a good job.
