When does the leaking and breast soreness go away after weaning?

I weaned my 2 year old cold turkey - she was totally fine with it, so no criticism please - over a week ago and I have had soreness in my breasts and just started a constant leak yesterday. When can I expect this to stop? Should I see a doctor? Could I have mastitis? I have no fevers or bleeding - am worried.

i think you are just engorged. it should go away eventually. it's just like if you were to never breastfeed. they get filled because no one is letting the milk out anymore. it could take awhile. you could wrap them in a bandage to help it along dont put warm water or anything that will make it worse. use ice packs. good luck.
