I have dark brown hair and my son had bleach blond hair...but now he is three and every year it gets a little darker

my son when he was born had blonde hair like really blonde hair but his dad has blonde hair but I did get a few of wow look at that hair from people and then would have to say yeah he has his dads hair...in fact his dads hair and his dads skin tone cause I have a much darker complection and he is like white...now my son is 4 and he still has a very light skin tone but his hair has darkend to a light brown color and my daughter who is 5 mths is just like me for the world, brown hair and dark complection...lol

I get that about my daughter's eyes. They are settling on hazel. I have vary dark brown almost black eyes. My husband has fairly light brown eyes. His dad has blue and my grandmother had hazel.

I've even heard people ask my husband if she was his! I was so pissed off and snapped "whose else would it be!"

I have hazel eyes and dark brown hair, my youngest daughter has bright blue eyes and blonde hair, she has my eye shape and my face shape but thats it. Her dad has brown hair and hazel eyes too! People usually think i am babysitting her, till she starts calling me mommy. My other daughter is the spitting image of me: brown hair and hazel eyes and my facial features

hi im a brunette and my partner has really dark brown and our son is blonde but we both were when we were little but no one believes us when we say!!! dont worry it might change as he gets older its nothing to worry about :)

Yes I have dark Brown hair and my son has Red hair? He looks like me but his hair color I am hoping he grows out of. I know the feeling.

LOL my daughter got the fair side of both mine and hubby's heritage. Eg both me and my hubby are brown hair brown eyes. Xiva is red/blond with greeny-blue eyes. She is a spitting image of my eldest niece and my father in law (except the eyes Xiva has my dad's eyes). I was the 1st generation born on my father's side with brown eyes and hair and even tan (no people its not just laying around in the sun-i was born this color. I swear if anyone else wants to tell me that tanning is a scar then i'll slap em, I've put with those comments since i was 5, im now 22). so It depends really on any looks that skip generations. We get strange looks when we are on a family outing (just us three), but if hubby's mum or my dad joins us then people tend to mellow their reactions to the differences between us. Its really annoying when really nosy people walk up to my hubby and asks "are you sure that kid is yours?" I tell them to mind their own business. Hubby fires up pretty fast as any father would i suppose. But when you get all of us together (both sides), xiva looks like an even mix between both.

wow steffi the exact same thing happens to me all the time cause im a dark brown with red tones in the sun and his dad is blonde and our lil guy is a red head when we are all out together i get the weirdest looks but what ppl dont reaslise is that my dad and my partners father are both red heads it dosent bother me that my lil guyt has red hair but it dose bother me when they look at him like he is gunna jump out of his pram and bite them on there nose lol

im dark brown as well as my fiance and my daughter 3, is blonde! my son is brown tho! i had blonde hair until i was about 5 and she is 3 so i think the same may happen!

I have dark hair (dark brown almost black) and dark green/ hazel eyes and my son has white blonde hair and light blue eyes. We get some strange looks.

I also have dark brown hair with red tones in it....but when I was a baby my hair was very, very, blonde! It didn't darken until I was in Kindergarten, and it went from blonde, to light brown, to med. brown, then finally to dark brown...y'know very gradually...My son has blonde hair too, and now it's starting to darken up....Perhaps your son's will as well. I would just ignore people who stare like that. It's rude and besides, you know that the hair color runs in your family, so you shouldn't let people make you feel awkward about it. If someone actually says anything about it, just say something like "My family is of Irish and/or Scottish descent". But it's really no one's business.

I have dark hair, only got tints of red after I was married! (strange!) I have never dyed or bleached my hair either. My husband has light hair and our son has light hair like him. I love it but think it would be cool to have a girl with dark hair like me sometime!

my son has the same hair color as me but that doesnt really always happen my friend is a blonde and her daughter has blakk hair same with my other friend.....my mom n dad both have super dark hair and my sister has blonde hair.my aunt and uncle have dark hair and all four of my couzins are blonde as can beee...how old are you? chances are if you are young or you look young that is why you are gettin the strange looks cause i'm 20 and ppl look at me like " why the hell does that young girl have a kid" lol if i was you id stop and ask one of the people whos gawking and ask them like dont be rude you know just be like well ive been gettin a lot of strange looks and i was wondeing what you were thinking? idk its worth a try
