i feed her rusk and the little jars of baby rice during the day with her milk and she has two 40 - 50 min naps during the day as well but she goes to bed at half ten then wakes up about 2 - half 2 then after that she don't want to go sleep and if i leave her in her cot after feeding she will scream and scream untill she can see me .

I agree with Emma - she's probably over tired or just misses mommy. If you rock or cuddle her, does she go back to sleep?

Err she's probably over tired. At 5 months they need 5 hours of sleep during the day and 11 at night.

I bought a sound activated music light from target. It is brilliant. I swear by this. My daughter is now almost 1 and has slept from 8pm till just after 7am since she was 6months old. (depends if i have to drop hubby off to work at 3am). also i cut back on the nap times during the day, preferring to keep super active from wake up till 1hour before bedtime rather than lazy relaxed. My daughter now sings herself to sleep in-tune with the music light. Music Light gives you enough light to change baby (if your practiced enough), or just to have a sneak peak on your way back to bed after a trip to the loo. Good luck. (I'm not sure about what this item is in another country other than Australia)

put her in her own room take away one of the naps and let her sleep for only an hour at that one. this might sound harsh but only answer her call once a nite but make that on your time not hers. i plaid some soft music or put a tv in the room so she will have something else to get her attention then after a little while of that you should be able to stop going in there all together. she may still wake up but now she has something to watch for instead of you all the time. let me know if this helps. good luck.

CHECK ON HER BUT DO NOT LET HER SEE YOU

what i would do hun is like tonite go in there one time for a few days and then cut her off she does not need to see you tell about 6 am if she goes to sleep at 10 or 11 that is only 8 hours if she eats good and has been changed before bed she wont starve i promiss. i used to shut my door and when i woke to go potty i would check onthem about 2 or 3 but dont let her see you. put the tv on if you need you can keep it low enouph to hear her and also trust your bond you will know when she realy needs you by her cry. good luck and gets some rest when ever you can

Have you tried a Pacifier for comfort?
