I had a cross incision May 18, 2010. side to side on my waistline but up and down on my uterus. my son was born 4 months to early and I lost him due to extreme prematurity. I want another baby soooo bad that id be willing to try now if i knew it would end up ok. Has anyone else had a cross incision like me and does anyone have any advice on what could happen. I know theres a slight chance of the scar tearing, but anything else? My doctor told me wait atleast 8 months, but in 18 months it will be its strongest. I dont think i can wait that long.

it is best to wait the 18 months, dear. honestly, unless you would like your incision site to become infected from the inside, or to rip open from pressure on your uterus...they cut open many, mny layers of tissue & fat for a cs...it is just one of those things your don't want to jump the gun on, ya know? it isn't a slight chance, it more than likely will happen if you become pregnant too soon because your uterus isn't strong enough to stretch like it needs to to house another little person. you could end up losing your uterus altogether, my mother did it, please be careful! i know it is hard to wait but trust me, it is worth it to make sure that your body is in prime baby-housing condition. best for you & bub :)
