i have had 3 normal vaginal births, im now 34.4 wks pregnant with my 4th and the docs think my baby is breech, having another ultrasound on the 9th to see if it still is, and if it is i have to have a c-section...

just wondering if anyone has had planned ones and if so how early do they do them, as its nearly xmas and i dont wont to be in hospital on xmas day as that would suck for the other kids!!!

bit worried actually i would prefer to have a normal birth but if it has to happen then i will obviously just so bubs is fine!

They normally do planned CS at 38 weeks. They can do an ultrasound to check that baby's lungs are ready to come out into the world.

If you want to read a good experience with a CS (there are lots of horror stories) have a look at my post here

Hey, I had twins via c-section in august. They were breech therefore i had a planned c-section.. She planned it for exactly 38weeks. And that was with twins. They try and get it as late as possible for the babies growth. But between 37 & 40. Goodluck, I had to stay in for 5 days so they could keep an eye on the wound. hopefully you get a natural birth.

they usually plan one a couple of weeks early so you dont go into labour spontaneously but they discuss it with you so youll have a lot of say in when it happens. hope everything goes ok for you and baby isnt breech xx
