Hi guys,
I am due to have my second c-section in 3weeks and was wondering about after birth contractions. I have been told that they are quite bad after your second child however everyone who has passed on this "wonderful" information has had a natural birth. I am the only person I know that has had a c-section. Can anyone shed some light on the subject???

I have had 3 c-sections and have never had any cramping. I can almost guarantee its because you are numb from the spinal that you don't feel your uterus contracting back down to size. I actually had very little discomfort with my 2nd and 3rd. The first was an emergency C-section so that was a train wreck, but my subsequent ones have been just fine.

I've had 2 c-sections and I didnt have any of that. Nor have i ever heard of that. Obviously your incision is going to be sore and you might be a little crampy and I dont know if you had this problem, but with my first I had extremely bad gas pains. But while you are in the hospital(it reminds me when I breastfeed especially) turn on each side every half hour or at least try to. It pushes some of the gas out and less painfully because if it builds up. Then its painful. My grandma used to be a nurse and the reason we get such bad gas is because air gets to your insides for a few minutes Obviously and your body isnt really meant to do that. So maybe thats what they are talking about. Hope this helps, God Bless!
