Hi Ladies I had 2 c-sections 13 mnths apart and I have an extra flab of skin that hangs down and under that area I have the most nasty rash that comes with the most disgusting smell (sorry to gross out anyone), I have been to my doctor and all he does is prescribe cream which doesn't completely clear it up and it also itches badly. I have also tried cornstarch which helped for the longest time but not any longer. I am feeling very unwomanly any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Shari

They used staples on me both times and I had no reaction to those this came about later after the staples had been taken out.  I had been told by a couple of doctors that what I need is most likely a tummy tuck however my gp feels that I don't and should continue to use this lotion he prescribed.  I'm going in to see him on Monday and we'll see what he says then.  Stephanie if he can't help me I may try that lotion that you suggested.

I have that same rash.  My c-section went really bad and the entire thing got infected about a week after.  I filled up so bad with fluid that I was bigger after I had my daughter than before I had her!  Anyways, because of all the infected fluid, I have this ridiculously huge flab of skin hanging down over the surgery site.  My doctor prescribed an anti-fungal cream, because it is a fungus growing under that flab (I know that's so sick!).  I usually just have to put the cream on once and it goes away.  It might come back a few days later, but then I just put it on again.  Unfortunately until the flab of skin is removed by a tummy tuck or some other way, this will be a recurring problem.  Another thing that I do is whenever I go to the bathroom I take some extra toilet paper and just wipe the area, that way it stays dryer and the rash recurs less often.  Hope this helps!

I had one from the stri-strips that they used to close me up and it was so bad it went systemic and spread to my face. The docs gave me a steroid cream that helped a lot because I thought I was going to go crazy from the iching. Ask about something like that and steroid pills that you can go on for a few days so that it can clear it up fast. I feel your pain.
