Megan, although I had all my kids through CSection but the last one was 12yrs ago. Am one of the lucky ones to have gotten my stomach back to the same shape but they say people are different and you cant compare urself to others. I use to sit in the bath of very warm water for about half an hour masaging my stomach at the same time with a face towel. And also Tracy mentioned using girdle which i did as well and this helped a lot. I have no wobbly stomach or stretch marks but I was also a size 12,14 which could have helped as well. I wish you luck with whatever you decide to do but there is no harm in trying so many things.

I had 2 c-sections 14 months apart. And my tummy is almost back to normal. My secret: a weighted hula hoop. If you know how to hula hoop I guarantee this will help. you can get them at sportshoop.com and they arent to expensive.  I have excepted the fact that my tummy may never look exactly the same, but heck, i had two babies and Im proud of how I do look.

Hi there, I would say everyones body is different. I have 4 kids and 3 of them C-sections. I have a very hard time with this as well. My new baby is only 2 months old. My doctor tells me "It takes 9 months to get that big and it could take 9month to get your body back", but it is really hard on a person self esteem. No one wants to see their body in such bad shape. I just started a program called "Fit for Life", and hope that I can lose some of my tummy. Good luck and I hope you get all the help your looking for.

if you do research you will learn that they do not cut through abdominal muscle! you are supposed to wear a girtle given to you in the hospital for a while after the c-section. i wore mine while walking and that little puch was gone just as soon as the weight was!

i had my c-section a year ago and i have the same probem...if it were'nt for the sagging skin my tummy would be nice and flat. It does seem to be improving slowly over time.  unfortunately there is no exercise to tighten skin again. don't stress over it, your baby is worth some battle wounds.

I have been battling with the same thing. I had twins via c-section and I was 107 lbs beofre pregnancy got up to 165 and am back down to 107....everything is normal and in place except my lovely c-section pouch! I have been doing a lot of research lately and it turns out it is possible to make it flat again (not 6 pack or anything) but flat by doing pilates and cardio! I plan on purchasing a jogging stroller and a pilates video very soon

There's no exercise that can tighten skin - just muscles. Your skin is amazingly elastic and WILL tighten again with time, but never back to exactly pre-baby firmness - just be aware it may take a few years. :)

Loose your weight slowly and give your skin time to tighten. Yoga is a great way of strengthening your muscles as well. I've lost 20 lbs over a period of six months with maintaining a "clean" calorie intake. Your food intake (calorie intake) is essential to loose weight properly. If you loose weight to rapidly, you will experience hanging skin. It's my personal experience with weight loss after a c-section and a busy lifestyle as a mom. Good luck! :)

I'm sure there are some out there who were able to get a flat stomach after having a c-section. I personally have given up on that desire as I have had five surgeries on my stomach (4 of which were c-sections) which cuts through your abdominal muscles. Also, when I had my third child, the doctor told me that I had a hernia. Basically the area that they had cut to deliver the baby had reopened a little bit. I am therefore very careful with abdominal exercises although doctors do encourage you to continue to do them. I'm not sure how long ago you had your c-section, but just be sure that your incision has completely healed before attempting them. God bless to you and hope you are able to find what you are looking for.
