I am recently married to my military hubby this last August. I found out I was pregnant a month and a bit ago. I am also in the military myself and am on my 3's course. I find our training draining...almost to the point i thought I miscarried (there was so much red blood)...doctors thought so to!! but my lil angel is a fighter. I am due in July sometime if my calculations are correct. If there are any military mom's in Halifax I am getting posted there with my hubby...I would love to gain as much wisdom as I can from you...seeing as this is my first child I have so many questions!?!

Training while pregnant, and you are saying you are tired!  No Doubt!!!  I can't even imagine!  I had a simple desk job during my first preganacy and when I wasn't at work all I did was sleep and wake to eat then sleep again!  Get your rest you and the baby need it.  I agree with the running shoes for comfort as you begin to gain weight.  i didn't start to swell until near the very end of my preganacy with my first and I don't remember with the second.  Birkenstock sandles are wondrfully supportive for your free time-I lived in them-actually laboured my second in them.

As for the bleeding and scare of miscarraige...I would definetly be cautious with your activities-you should be able to do most things your body would be used to doing, but, definitly be seeking medical advice as to what activities you should NOT be doing and get  chits for them.  I will pray for you.

I am not military, but after talking with my neighbor who is in the forces, get everything as possible written down on your chit that you can't do. Even something that you would think is common sense, they don't. When you start to grow out of your military maternity uniforms, some of the nurse's etc at the MIR don't believe you should be comfy so they may deny you wearing civy maternity clothes, go to you CO, and get their permission for it. Also get permission to wear runners as soon as possible if your feet are swelling. I had some long conversations this summer with my neighbour when her hubby was away this summer and she had to go through alot to get what she wanted. take care, susan
