Extreme Couponing in Canada?

I notice in the US they have double couponing and other kinds of perks that we don't seem to have here.

I was curious to see if anyone lives the "Extreme Coupon" lifestyle in Canada. I love saving money, and am a little jealous of the "great deals" that they have in the US!

I wasn't sure where to post this, but that other Moms should know and the couponing section seems to fit. Check out the deal on sweetpeadeals.ca...it's $40 for $80 of maternity and nursing clothes. I looked at their selection (on BumbleWee) and am impressed. I am pumped to wear the clothes now, while expecting, and when I'm nursing. Has anyone else seen these 2 in 1 nursing tops? Do you like them? I am excited to try them when the time comes

savealoonie.com is a great site for coupons as well - they have a facebook page called Canadian coupons/Free samples Canada and they post tons of stuff (and hidden coupons) as well as all of the facebook giveaways. they're how i find all of my things.

I just added a "List" on facebook and put all of my retail subscriptions in there. Then, I can check them all really quickly without the stupid "You like to see these updates the most" feature.

the facebook giveaways go "live" at random times of the day so you need to keep watch out for them, but they're sooo worth it if you can catch it!

so i just want to say something to add to denikka's post - majority of coupons state "one per purchase" which many people mistake for meaning you can only use one of that coupon per trip (transaction). (ie, you're buying 5 of the same item but you can only use one coupon on one of the 5 things) but you can actually use 5 of the same coupons if purchasing 5 of the same items. i suggest getting a copy of the coupon policy from every store you shop at....i've never come across one that will not allow you to use coupons with sales....
facebook is a great place to get FPC as well. like all of the canadian food pages - very often they will give away free product coupons (make sure to have a websaver.ca account as most of the facebook coupons go through websaver). for example, this week tenderflake is giving away free pie crusts, maple leaf is giving away free bacon, cadbury is doing free choc bars and every wednesday alberto is giving away coupon packets (one of the coupons is a FPC for your choice). A couple of weeks ago oliveri gave away FPC for their pasta, country harvest had a free loaf of bread and kelloggs had a free box of cereal coupon available.....
last month the Pharmasaves did a double coupon day where they doubled the amount of all coupons for two days (i was able to get $215 worth of stuff for $65!)
another thing to do is just email companies asking for coupons! I have gotten many great coupons from doing that!many will allow you to request coupons every couple of months!
since may i have been able to create a stock pile for my family and have been able to do so while still cutting my grocery order by about 75% each week.

I don't think it's possible to coupon to that extreme here. If you read the fine print on the coupons, ALL of the ones that I have seen are either limited to one per person, one per transaction or both. A lot also cannot be combined with other offers, and that includes in store sales.
It makes me SUPER sad too. I would LOVE to be able to enjoy some massive coupon savings. I just don't see it being possible here in Canada.
