I ask this every where. I am obsessed with car seats, which is a good thing in my mind.
I have 3 kids. My 6-1/2 yr old is VERY tall, at 4'9" exact he has a torso height of 22 inches. He is currently sitting in a backless turbo booster because I can't find a belt positioning booster tall enough for him. He is close to passing the 5 step test, but his feet are still not flat on the floor yet. Is there possible a better idea for him?
My 3-1/2 yr old just moved into a Graco Nautilus. She has been rearfacing up until a few months ago when she was 34 lbs. I feel this is a good seat for her as I want her harnessed until she is at least 5, preferably longer if possible. I couldn't tell you her height for the life of me...
My 8 month old is in the Evenflo Triumph Advance, and will remain rearfacing until max height or weight, whichever is first. We chose this seat due to the sliding harness and easy adjustment. With his health concerns and medication it is important to us to be able to easily adjust his harness when he gains and looses weight. I felt it safer with how much his weight fluctuates to have an easily adjustable harness.
So, do you think they are in the best possible seats for them or is there better seats for any of them. All my seats have been inspected and are properly installed. None are expired or have ever been in any accidents. I just want to know if maybe there are better seats for them.
