Hi there, I would love to make my own cards. But have no idea where to start.I did however make my own invitations for my daughter's christening which turned out not too bad. I think I've left it too late to make Christmas cards for this year, but would love to learn as much as I can from other members so that I can make my own next year. Hoping to see hints and tips from everyone

I made all my birth announcements and christening announcements, but they were simple.

I'm thinking that if I start NOW I can manage to complete Christmas cards for Next year. lol

Thanks for posting! There are los of places that you can learn how to make cards. Most stamping up demonstrators or scrabook demonstrators have card making classes and most scrapbook stores have classes as well. Good job on making the Christening invites! If you have a picture, post it. I found there is alot of great stamps, punches and paper at a craft store like Michales in Canada (not sure what the big craft stores are called in the US). I would start with a book of plain card stock in lots of colours, a paper slicer, an oval punch, some nice stamps that have designs and greetings and some glitter and a adhesive roller. Then you have all you need to get started! I don't think you have left it too late to make Xmas cards. If you pick one design and just make them all the same it doesn't take too long. I find they don't cost any more then regular mail either. I will post some great and easy ideas for you tonight once the kids are in bed! Happy card making!
