Business Venture Idea - Think it will work?

Ok, so I dropped to part-time, but my husband and I still need some extra money each month to make it by. So, I looked into starting a day care, but that will require more schooling and too much of my time to even get it started and by that time the laws will change again. So... I finally came up with something that I really enjoy doing... I LOVE to host parties and I LOVE to work with kids... so, I think I'm going to venture into being a children's event/party planner. How many of you would consider using a party planner for a child's birthday or special occasion?

To Cindy - That just gave me an idea - that is one business venture that me and my husband can start with! I just researched our area about it and it looks like it is a great possibility. Thanks!



To Deirdre - I did not even know that an Event Child Care business exists. It makes sense though and I can see it as a big business opportunity. :)

Many moms would love that! It will take a lot of work on your part! Google it to see what other party planners do! I work at home and love it too!

I have a cousin who started an inflatable business once he retired. He is so busy now that he has to turn people away. He started with only a few and now has a full inventory. He takes care of the set up, and the take down. He also built a candy cart that he fills with all sorts of candies/candy apples and he offers a liqueur/chocloate shot bar for adults. It can be a lot of work, but know that where he is - NJ and in areas where both parents tend to work, you would do just fine. It may be slow in the beginning, but if you do things right, it will work out!!

Rebekah you should look into Event Child Care. You will be hosting a party for kids who can't attend the big event with their parents. You can work with wedding coordinators, party/meeting planners etc. Tjos os a business idea my family and I are pursuing at the moment. There are lots of resources out there and it may be the best of both worlds for you.
