I have a 9 month old little boy and have made all of his baby food from scratch. In my quest to find new recipes and baby food ideas, I have realized that different cultures introduce different foods at different times. It's funny because I just assumed baby rice cereal had to be the first food. I have been writing about my baby food making in my blog (www.mushbabyfood.blogspot.com) and would love to know more about first baby foods in different cultures. My son is 1/2 Indian, 1/4 Italian, and 1/4 Swedish...so needless to say we have gotten varying opinions (from the grandparents) on what foods to introduce and when. I would love to know more about what first food customs exist in different parts of the world.

Great!!! Thanks so much! I checked out the website and it is great! I loved that they gave recipes! As a little girl my dad used to make me the pasta and peas...it brought back memories!
