So today is the first time I visited the home page of "Career to Stay at home Moms" and was shocked to see all of the "work-at-home" scam ads on here. I was just about to remove myself from this group, but then I saw 2 legitimate conversations that were actually interesting to read. So I decided to post this conversation.



Is there anyone else that thinks those scammers should stop posting in this group? Just because their profile picture is of a "mom" doesn't mean that is actually the person posting the ad. Come on ladies, don't you know those are all pyramid scams (or at lease something similar)! Lets give ourselves a little credit!

I agree with you all.  I posted a conversation asking moms what they do in their sparetime making money and what not.  IF you do.  Every single person that wrote back was those get rich scams and ones that you have to pay money into.  That is not what I was looking for.  I actually also felt like everyone was giving me all these links to these weird websites that felt like they were virus stricken.  They should definitely just post in their communities and leave the rest alone.  This is not what this community is all about.  I really do not care if they are proud of what they do...they are advertising in the wrong spot.

The whole advertisment thing upsets me as well. I signed up on this site for the same reason as all the women here. To chat, relate, give/recieve useful advise in relation to our children and moms, not to be lured into scams from people you think you can trust with your personal  honest questions. When I browsed the chats of working from home I felt like I was on a 'virus page' rather than taking advice from real moms who should be in the group. The 'non real members' should be kicked off.

I agree with. I am sick of all the advertisement on pyramid and quick easy money. I just want to talk and get advise from honest moms. And I also agree with the other mom, you can get into Avon, Tupperware ect and pays some bills. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks like this and I hope to continue in this group with real positive moms.

I am worried about this as well. How are we to know if it's a scam or not??? And who in their right mind would mess with a MOM anyway????

lol someone else posted a similar conversation last week you are in for a load of posts telling they are genuine work from home and being all hurt rubbish.  I'm with you they should respond to those who ask for info not all the blatant advertising besides they have their own circle but keep taking over ours with their 101 ways to make quick easy money thats a load of rubbish if it was that easy they wouldn't need to put so many adds on here.

I'm confused isn't there a board dedicated to these ads ?

I agree I would love to work from home but when I come in here I want to talk to other people who have decided to stay at home and pick up their careers later on.

Good on ya for speaking up. This is also my first time and you have to be careful about all things on the net. Im looking forward to getting some really good advice and maybe helping other too. Tanja
