I work from home writing online mostly for Hubpages but I have written for Textbroker, Yahoo Voices, Constant Content and many other writing companies. I have gotten paid by all of them. You can find several writing jobs at workersonboard

I illustrated my first book. Bringing a story to life is joyful and to have your child read it to you. My daughter loves to illustrate and write. She is 6.

I ghost write a blog for a national non-profit organization and I write curriculum for a local non-profit. I got both through contacts from my most recent full time job. Thanks to everyone else who have made suggestions. I'll definitely check those out.

There is also Elance.com, iFreelance.com, ODesk.com. These are all sites where you can bid on writing projects. There is a lot of competition and the amount you earn may not always be great but if you stick to it and gain a good reputation, you could eventually start charging more money per job.

Not sure how you can make money from home as writing. I'm sure though that if you look at maybe your local paper there maybe areas to submit short stories for money. I would start off locally first and see where it takes you.

I've recently picked up writing again. I don't do it for money, but rather just to calm and relax my nerves.

I know exactly how you feel Tara everyone claims they have the answer. Each business claims its the last you'll ever need to try. In all reality I think that every business out there has the potential to work, however it depends on the individual. Everything in life requires some sort of work and effort. So if someone isn't working there will be no success. I myself have tried so many things, and because of my stubbornness I found something that works for me. I encourage you to continue to look, there's something out there for everyone.

I write but in no ways to provide an income. For me writing is a way to relax, it's a great way to let out some stress :D At one point I thought about being a children's book author since I'm an artist as well. However things happened and I never really pursued that line of work.

I am a writer and have no idea how to find a job where I can work from home? They seem to be all scams....
