I suggest joining a local chapter of the Mom's Club, or other type of SAHM group. They generally have group events and smaller playgroups that you could join, or even just connect with other moms in your area. As for working...well, you'll be busy enough taking care of the little one...feeding, changing, laundry, cleaning....etc. etc...

It is hard transition, but one that will get easier. I moved to a new town quit my job and had a baby all in a matter of 6mo. It was hard at first, but I love that I got to spend such great quality time with my young children. I think that maybe we focus too much on being lonely without adult interaction and that we aren't really doing anything important.
It has taken me awhile, but I have realized that what I do is extremely importand and I am so lucky to have the time to spend with my children. They grow up extremely fast and you can never get that special one on one time back.... Enjoy it :)

It will likely get easier with time. Your baby is still very small, and not much fun yet. As she grows, she will become more interesting and interactive. I know my son started really becoming fun at about 2 months - interested in toys, interacting with me, smiling, etc. It takes the boredom out of your day when you can have a good time together instead of just feeding, napping, and changing diapers over and over again. And finding a playgroup or mom's group near you is a great idea too!

It will get easier with time. I stopped 15 yrs ago. We didn't take the fancy vaca's and kids didn't get everything they wanted but I wouldn't go back for anything. Just enjoy being home with the kids. Go to parks and museums, all the things you wished you could have done while you were at work.
