My name is Nancy and I'm a single mom of four. I work full-time and go to school part-time some evenings. I'm working on completing my BA in Psychology. I plan to continue for my MA in Counseling. I hope to work with children and families in the school system or in my own private practice. I'd like to get into Christian Counseling. I also volunteer in several ministries at my church (Lector, Pastoral Council, Choir) and I'm in a certificate program at the local seminary for Called & Gifted Lay Ministry Formation. My two younger kids go to catholic school and my older ones graduated from that same school.

I'm also trying to get a home-based business going. It's called F.A.I.T.H. Jewelry and it's inspirational jewelry for women, men, and pets (www.faithco.net).

I'm very glad to be a part of this community! I look forward to meeting all of you!

Hi, Nancy! That's awesome that you are going for your degree! I'd love to go back to school for theology - but I think psychology is so interesting, especially when looking at the Church as a whole and trying to understand trends. Have you ever heard of the Institute for Psychological Sciences? They are a University in Maryland and a pioneer in integrating Catholic teaching and theology with psychology. http://www.ipsciences.edu/

You sound like a very driven woman with 4 kids, college and 2 home-based businesses! I look forward to hearing more =).
