Hi! I'm Kate, I have two sons, Guillame (3yo) and Pascal (9mo). I've been married to dh Liam for 4 1/2 years. We're both cradle Catholics from large families. My husband is a carpenter and mason, and I am a SAHM - and I homeschool my oldest, who is crazy interested in letters. I'm a 'good Catholic girl' but I have a really hard time incorporating my faith into my daily life, which (with two under three) is just so chaotic. It seems like it's impossible to maintain any sort of routine, and anything I do plan to do can be disrupted at the drop of a hat. My favorite spiritual writer is St. Francis De Sales. Oh, and I blog at http://katecousino.blogspot.com.

I'm Laura! My husband, Patrick, and I have 2 girls. Katie is almost 4 and Mary is 7 months old. Patrick is a cradle Catholic and I grew up Methodist and converted to Catholicism shortly after Katie was born. Patrick is a teacher and I work with children with Autism. Katie is starting Preschool and dance in the fall-I can't believe that she's ready to be so involved with things outside the home but I guess I have to let go a little. She is a beautiful, intelligent and charming little girl and I guess it's time I share her a little:)

Hello. I'm Heather and I have three daughters with my husband of 6 years, John. My oldest is Ada Rose and she is 3 1/2. Then I have Madeline Ruth Marie and she is going to turn 2 this Friday. My youngest is Hazel Anne and she is 10 weeks old. I am a high school science teacher in Iowa and my husband is a mechanical engineer. I am really trying to get back to my faith with my daughters and start going to church, though it has been hard since there are no catholic churches in our town, hope to start driving the distance to another town a little while away in a few weeks when we start being home again on weekends during the school year. I have just started blogging at bessmangirls.blogspot.com

Hello I'm McKenzie, I have 2 daughters, Ally (10) and Charlotte (6). I've been married to my husband for 11 years. We are converting to Catholic and are waiting for my husband's annulment to be finished. Both of my daughters are Catholic. My husband is in the Navy and I am a SAHM who will start back to college in the fall. I also sing with the VA Symphony and am an Ombudsman for the ship my husband is stationed on. I feel that meditating on the rosary is very helpful to overcome stressful days and times during the summer when the kids are home, as well as all year long. I hope to read a lot in this room to absorb and learn from all of you and maybe give a little back now and then too.

Hi, I'm Jess. I'm also a cradle Catholic. I attended Catholic schools from Kindergarten through twelfth grade. My husband of 11 years, Brent, is in the US Air Force. (He's been Catholic since age three.) We are currently stationed in Germany with our four children ages six, four, one-and-a-half, and nine weeks gestational (meaning I'm in the first trimester of pregnancy with our fourth baby)! I could really use some Catholic support especially in regard to NFP! Anybody out there who's had four kids in the last six years?

Hi, I'm Miranda, 24 years old, and mother to our honeymoon baby, a 10 month old boy named Matthew Jr. My husband is in the USAF and we currently live in California. We're both converts to the Faith, and love the Tridentine Mass, although we currently attended a Novus Ordo Mass on Sundays. Our biggest challenge right now, is fully participating in the Mass as our son won't sit still for more than a couple minutes, and I usually have to stand with him in the back of the Church or even outside the doors. Some good advice I heard, though, was to remember it is not what we "get" out of Mass that matters, but what we "offer" to our Lord, and we know how much He loves us bringing new life to learn about Him and to love Him! Trying our best to raise litle Saints :D

My name is Lynsi. I'm a cradle Christian and just started going to St. Joseph's in Salem with my husband a little over a year ago. Was not raised Catholic, was actually raised to question it. My husband was raised Episcopal and sought out the Catholic church after he felt he could no longer support the Episcopal church wtih a gay bishop. My husband was confirmed Catholic this past Easter and I'm in the RCIA program. I would never have sought out the Catholic church if it were not for my husband. He is a very honorable person and researched for almost 2 years. I've found some very strong values that I support. I've educated myself on the truths of the church and corrected my prior opinions on certain topics. I now realize that the church did not add books to the bible, but that my previous bible had books removed in the 16th century. I could go on but for times sake.... I have two daughters 7 & 6 and my son just turned 1 last month. The only hang up I have with following all the teachings is the birth control. I've read a book on NFP but I'm just nervous about it. Anyway ... a snapshot of me. Hope its ok to be here even if I'm not yet Catholic.

Hi, I'm Maria. Coming from a country predominantly Catholics, the Philippines, my siblings and I were born staunch Catholics and even products of Catholic schools. The irony of it, though, is I'm the only one in my family who is married outside my faith. But, since my husband is non-denominational, he was agreeable to having our marriage blessed in our catholic faith by a priest 19 years to date. We have two teenage boys who were baptized Catholics.

I have a 2.5 year old and baptised her Catholic with great Catholic God parents I know through work. I live in rural South Carolina and have a hard time finding a close Catholic Church. The parish I belong to is an hour away now that I moved. I attend a Baptist Church to give my daughter a Christian foundation and fellowship.

Hi! My name is Elizabeth, I am a SAHM of 6 children (so far) 8 yo and under. I have been married almost 10 years, but my husband and I were childhood sweethearts. My husband converted in college from no religious upbringing, but I am a cradle Catholic. Currently, I am homeschooling my three oldest boys, with my daughter starting in September.

Before marriage, my DH and I were blessed to find a traditional parish that has remained true to the Magisterium with Perpetual Adoration and even a Tridentine Mass offered every Sunday evening. We used to be daily communicants and adorers, but as discipline has not been our strongpoint, we have had to back off from that practice. I look forward to making online friends who share my love for our Faith. And I also ask for your prayers as we are in a very tight financial spot that doesn't seem to have an immediate solution. God Bless You All!

Hi, I'm Megan.  My DH and I have 5 kids, and we have been married for 10 years.  We practice NFP, the Creighton Method.  All of our children have been surprises, mostly due to TDY's (my hubby is in the Air Force)!  We were both raised Catholic, but both drifted off as young adults.  We came back to the Church a few years ago, and we were so good at going to Mass, but lately due to illness, then laziness, it has just been hard to get there.  We went back for the first time this past weekend (after going to Confession, of course!), and it feels great!   Right now, we live in VA, but in about 1 month, we will be moving to San Antonio, TX.  Would love to meet people when I get there!  Anyway, I'd can't wait to get more involved in the group!

Hi!  I'm Kathleen in PA.  I have 2 daughters: Julianna, 21, who is graduating from college next month, and Lillian 12 who is in 7th grade at our local ps.  We homeschooled our girls until Julianna graduated highschool.   We have a family business, Handmaid For The Lord, http://www.handmaid-jewelry.com , which started as a homeschool project for Julianna when she started 9th grade in 2001.  And God has allowed it to blossom into a wonderful ministry and biz which I run from my studio at home.    Aside from that, we are very involved in our parish.  I am the DRE and Youth Minister and run our Adult Bible Study.  We are also members of the Blue Army.  We are also very ProLife -- not just anti-abortion.  After lots of prayer and work with my spiritual advisor, we developed a wonderful prayer tool that encompasses ALL life issue:  Pro-Life Chaplet.  You can find more info out here:  http://www.pro-life-chaplet.com

Hi. My name is Lisa. I have been married to my cradle Catholic husband for almost 17 years now. I was raised Seventh Day Adventist and converted to Catholicism after we were married for about 3 years. We have three beautiful children, 15, 9, and 6. My 15 year old attended Catholic school until grade 9 and my youngest is in Kindergarten at the same Catholic school. My 9 year old attends public school due to his disabilities. I homeschool him for religion with excellent support from our church.

I routinely volunteer at church with our prayer group, First Communion Committee and other various opportunities as they arise. We are very conservative in our beliefs. I am more so than my husband due to my strict raising in the Seventh Day Adventist church. We appreciate the older traditions of the Catholic Church and would like to see more people go back to the basics.

Our struggles right now including not being able to go to church regularly as a family. About 80% of the time my husband stays home with our special needs son when he can't make it to church and then DH doesn't go to mass when we get home. He doesn't like to go by himself. We are working on that.

It is great to have a place to come to and discuss such issues. I am looking forward to the speaking with everyone here.

My pour husband didn't even get to see our daughter until she was 3 months old. But that is the military life. I have a wonderful church that I go to and I also teach CCD to the kinder age group! We have a lot of support here at Fort Bliss with our MCCW and our Knights of Columbus and our wonderful Priests! I am a SAHM right now but am looking for a part-time job just to help out with the finances! I love spending time with my daughter and will miss it when I start working but sometimes you just have to pray for God's guidance through these rough financial times and do what you have to do! Are there any other military wives on here?
