I do only feed on demand lol!! My dr said when he starts moving around he should slim out...we'll see! Don't let anyone make you worry or feel bad just enjoy your baby :)

My friends baby was also almost 14 lbs at his 2 month check up. His doctor was not concerned at all. The only comment that was made is not to worry about waking him to feed every 4 hours in the middle of the night. To start feeding on demand only.

My son is only 9 weeks old & he weighs 14lbs! He was 8lbs 12.4ozs at birth so I hate to think what your health visitor would say about him!!! I feel as long as the baby is healthy then there are no worries...

All babies are different, and they should know that. One of my friends had twins and her little girl was what they said underweight, and her boy overweight. Everything was about the same with them. It all depends on the baby's body. When your child starts walking it will all level itself out. Your doing a great job keep it up!

At my daughters 4 month check up she weighed 12 lbs 2 ounces. That is up about 7 pounds from her birth weight of about 5 pounds. When you compare percent of weight gain based on birth weight my daughter gained more. Her doctor was not worried.

The first 6 months is supposed to be a time of great growth though. She sounds a bit big, but if she is happy I would not worry just yet. If she continues at this rate for the next 6 months to year then worry.

thanks girls :) i just hate it when they try to make me feel like im doing something wrong :( ... shes a very happy baby so thats all that matters to me .. they would have something to say if i did not feed her and they have someing to say when i do so i guess ya cant win lol xxxx

My babies were all in that weight range. They were plotted between the 95%-100% top percentile on their growth charts. They are all skinny now! LOL Sometimes health nurses or advisers can be tools. lol If your baby is healthy and happy don't worry about it.

my son was born 6 weeks early and weigh 7lbs by the time he was 3 months old he weight 25lbs and 32 lbs at 1 yr old.......his weight never slowed him down r created any type of health issue.....my son is now 5 yr old and weights 50 pounds.......please dont put ur lil girl on a diet she will be starved of nutrients that her body is already adjusted to....once ur daughter becomes active in crawling and walking the baby "fat" will come off if not then i would seek a doctors advice

My daughter was weighed the day before she turned 19 weeks which was last monday and she weighed 15 lbs 4 oz.. i was told that was big but i didnt know..and my cousins baby was 8 months and got weighed and weighed 18 lbs.

Hi Laura, don't worry about her weight because it will shed off when she start crawlling & walking. My son weighed 8lbs. 8ozs. when he was born, at his 6 week checkup he was 12lbs. By his 8 week checkup he weighed over 17lbs and his physician said it was perfectly normal.I breast fed him & he was eating rice cereal before he was 8 weeks because my milk alone was not enough. By the time he started crawling he was about 20lbs. and by the time he started walking he dropped all the weight! So don't let it upset you, she is at a great weight for her age, she will stay a certain weight for awhile & it will even out once she gets mobile(crawling & walking)!!!!! Don't let the doctors drive you crazy because everything they tell you don't always apply to every child because they all are different, believe me!!!

My son is 7 months and weighs about 21 lbs. People call him chunky. All babies are different Kehlson was very small when he was born. I think as long as your daughter is not spiking on her growth chart you shouldn't worry.

thanks :) no shes bottle fed :0 ..... i no doctors have gudie lines to follow but things like that really get to me im only 20 and they make me feel so small sometimes x

hey there sweety dont worry about the weight, babies are all different!my kids were almost 4kg at birth!she looks healthy n will loose all that when she starts walking!if you breastfeeding her thats normal 4 breastfed babies to b bigger than bottle fed babies im zea n i have 3 kids 2 gals n a boy!hope this will make you feel better!

I take it because from what I know a 3 month old baby is supposed to weigh just over 13 lbs. so that may be why the doctor was a bit concerned. Is your baby breast-fed? if so I wouldnt worry too much about it, because normally breastfeed babies are on the chubby side but they'll outgrow it as their height and weight grows out.
