I'm looking for some fun ideas of things to do in this oh-so-cold weather! Has anyone been to the Indoor Oak Brook Pool? I've heard it's nice and was thinking of going. I wanted to know if there is a kiddie area.

I have to agree about the library. Our library has really great weekly story times and craft days. You should check out yours!!

how about going to your local library? there are many free, fun, family orientated events...many available for out of district patrons too.

When my girls were smaller we did the whole mall tour of places to play like Yorktown Mall in Lombard with their tree house and train, the castle over at North Brook Court, etc. Climate controlled, indoors and free.

Thanks for all the great ideas! Keep 'em coming as you discover new things! I think we might head over to the Oak Brook Pool this weekend.... it's one of those places that's really close and we've never gone. To add a couple of our indoor favorites....DuPage Childrens Museum, pump it up Elmurst, Enchanted castle (indoor mini golf , go carts, laser tag & more), jumps & jiggles (small indoor play area and indoor carousel)

There is also a Pump it Up in Lisle. Great place to use up that energy in the winter!

THere is a great place called Pump It Up. $10 per kid. All blow up, jumpy stuff, and lots fo fun. THere is also Fantasy Kingdm, and Corner Playroom....They are all in the city, but lots of fun and worth trying out.

Yes, it is very nice. They have a great area for the little ones where the water is very shallow. I went there for a birthday party and we had a great time. They also have a water slide for those that can swim.
