I have a 2.5 yearold old son who has been going to speech since oct of 2014. he talks more now than ever but still slurs his words. he has no trouble eating, only drooled when he was teething as a baby and is great with his motor skills. he does have trouble with his tongue sometimes.

he was diagnosed with suspected apraxia 9 months ago at the age of 23 months.....in my gut i think the diagnosis is wrong, what should i do?

As an SLP, and owner of a Private Practice, I'd have the following Questions:

-How many words does your son use?
-Does he ever mis-pronounce the same word in different ways?

We have a parent resource here- that might be helpful: http://bit.ly/1L1ibcm

He knows many words...up, down, all names of family, one to 13, many animals, i would say over 100 words or even more. Making mistakes defentely does as he only started talking about 5 months ago on a regular basis. But his mistakes are consistent. Like he cant say bed he says bad everytime or he cant say milk it comes out miltch everytime. He is 2 years and 8 months old.
