My son and his step dad had a confrontation. My 17yrs old pinched halfbrother because they where fight in the car, my son started to cry my turned around and held at my so don't you ever touch him my son try to explain what happens he did not let him my son told him to sit down he slapped him my son said that he was going to kick his as I was trying to stop them I also slapped my husband and I told him not to ever touch him. Or else he is going to have to face the consequence. Now I'm in the middle my husband is mad at my because I defended my son I know I will do it all the time. I know his my husband I don't know if I did the right thing?

Its really hard to have to men in the house as they but heads all the time. My eldest son who is now 21 rowed with his father all the time. I ended up in the middle of both of them. My son expecting me to protect him and my husband expecting me to stand by him and support him. You are stuck in the middle. All I can say is things do get better. You just have to bite your tongue and only step in when things get to out of control. My son moved out to university and since then father and son have a good relationship. My second son went through a similar thing but chose to spend a lot of time out of the house when his dad was around. He still lives at home but is rarely in. Just make sure your husband understands that you are not taking sides but just dont want things to go to far.
