I would tell him that he can have him every other weekend and that is it, my son goes to his fathers every other weekend, one week of Christmas break, every other spring break, and 2 weeks at the beginning of summer and 2 weeks the following month. My son is now 11 and this works for him somewhat he is now getting to the point where he doesn't really want to go to dads or would rather it was just for a day and not extended periods of time. You tell him that your son wants to spend time with him not just be there while he goes off to work, tell your sons father that you have absolutely nothing against the gf and she is welcome to be a part of your sons life as long as he is there as well.
