I noticed you have an infant, I tried Disney this year and got great prices through hotwire. But never again!! I was exhausted from holding my son all day, in everyline, Check out hotwire or a similar website you put in your location and look for a resort, they have a full day of cool activities already planned. We stayed a raddison resort and they had mini golf, and a pool, but offered things like giant chutes and ladders a scavenger hunt water balloon fights and more. Most resorts do that kind of thing and then you can stay on property and relax. ( I got my room for $43 a night and it had a fridge for the baby bottles.)

We went to Holiday World in Santa Claus Indiana this last summer. It is kind of like six flags, but a little bit cheaper in my opinion. It's an amusement park and a water park. It has different sections dedicated to a different holiday, such as Christmas and the up-coming Halloween. There was a campground right beside it called lake rudolph and you can camp there in RV's or a tent. We found a decent priced hotel nearby. They have a website if you are interested. I believe it was holidayworld.com.

We always went to a local resort for a long weekend. I am not sure of your location, but here in Phoenix, AZ we go to the Pointe at Squaw Peak. They have waterslides, pools, movies, pizza, smoothies, etc. They get to invite their friends to play during the day and sleep over during the night. I get to relax and have a margarita or two; invite a friend for yourself to talk to while your kids are playing. We have had some good times, and it is much less expensive then traveling a long way away from home.
