Well I finally did it made appointment for my 5 yr old son to go to the denist tomorrow! I never liked going to denist, hoping he will be ok? We are going to Cavity Busters in Drsher Pa. Has anyone heard of Cavity Busters? How r they? What r they like? Is it a good place for my son's first denist appointment? I guess you can say I'm more nerovos about taking him to the denist then he is about going? Is this normal? How do I prepare him for the the first denist apponitment?

How was his trip? My daughter has always gone to the dentist with me and my older children. We didn't push it on her but at 3 she wanted to sit in the chair and the dentist counted her teeth. At 4 she wanted to have her teeth brushed but didn't like it so they stopped right away. At 5 she was fine and sat through it like is was nothing.

When I first took my daughter to the dentist we "played dentist" before hand. I sat her in my recliner and reclined it and pretended I was raising it up like a dentist chair does. Then I took unusual tools, like a paintbrush handle(thin one) and pretended to count her teeth and examine them. I explained what the dentist would do when it came to xrays and her first cleaning...usually they'll let you stay with your child for this...she did great! Hope this helps!!
