Hi Wonderful Moms!

We're rounding up great ideas from moms for birthday celebrations for boys of all ages. How did you celebrate your son's 5th birthday? What was his favorite gift? If you haven't celebrated it just yet, what are the birthday plans? Have you been to another great 5th birthday party for a boy? What did you find special about it?

Thanks for your responses!

Cheers,

My son's birthday party is tomorrow he will be turing 5. We are having a family picnic with a couple of friends from Pre-school. We let him pick out his favorite cake and his own present.

We are having a pirate pool party for our son in a few weeks. I went online to Oriental Trading Company and bought a ton of stuff...we also hired a "pirate' to show up and entertain the kids for an hour and a half. We will have a pirate treasure hunt at some point and I am serving pirate punch (red punch in plastic pirate cups), pizza planks and pirate cupcakes.....

My soon to be 5 yr old has asked for a Lego bday and has told me that he wants Lego Alien Conquest mothership! Being that the cheapest I've found this toy is $60 and my husband is still unemployed this will be his only present from us. He will have 3 friends over, his brother and possibly 2 cousins... We're going to let the kids be little chefs and make their own personal pizzas and enjoy a lego cake :) I was gonna get everyone a lego racer and the little ones a mega block car and let them have some building and racing fun :) His bday is the end of the month so we'll see how it goes :)

He hasn't had it yet his birthday is not until September but he loves buzz light year. So he'll have a simple theme and cake and ice cream with family (ours plus grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins). This is his first year in 4k so he'll take cupcakes to school that day

We got a cake decorated how he chose. We went to the zoo and had a small party. His favorite gift was his optimus prime robot.
