Hi, I've been divorced 3 years and this has only recently become a problem. My 5 year old is throwing 'I want to leave you and live with Dad' at me, the only difference between me and her Dad is I don't let her get away with murder! I end up with all the routine stuff including school, reading etc and just because she goes to Dad's every other weekend she thinks he's the bees knees.........He's not a bad Dad don't get me wrong but he puts no effort into discipline and routine.....so when I... do I end up being the bad Mummy..........Please anyone! any ideas????

Can you talk to your ex about this kind of things? You know, it is in the kid's best interest that you both agree on discipline. I read on a FB post that if your kids don't say "I hate you!" at least once, then we as mothers aren't doing our job right. She may say terrible things, and yell, and scream all she wants, but discipline makes her feel safe. Don't give up and don't give in! Maybe he's letting her get away with everything because he somehow feels guilty. You're doing the right thing. Hope everything gets better in time.
