My son is 5 years old. Oldest of three and is so bossy! He acts as if the world revolves around him and becomes incredibly stubborn if he doesn't get his way. He assumes he will get toys when we head to the store, even though he doesn't every time. He tries to negotiate with me and his dad. He talks back, and tries to get us to bend the rules. My husband and I have never spoiled him, he does not get everything he wants.
I guess our mistake lies with the line between rewards and bribes. Where is that line?
I am worried for him starting Kindergarten this fall.
I am embarrassed, because family members have expressed their concern for his behavior,(very nicely). He is my oldest and I would like to nip this in the bud before his sister pick up on this bad behavior!
Suggestions? Help!
