hi, lisa! my son is 2 years old. he is going to get tested for autism. right know we know he has sensory processing disorder, speech delay, and doc thinking seizures with autism. i think it hard to give advise cause they are all so different and different things work for some kids and some don't. i understand what you are going through. it is not easy. i would ask the school and talk to them about you being in the room to help know what he need or likes or just helps him get through. i would even sched. a meeting with the teachers and the people that he works with him. they can maybe set up an iep for him. hope that help some. but of luck. i think we all know it not an easy road to be on with your kids. i would give anything just to here my son say i love you mommy. but i know it may never happen. its ok i still love him. so the best wishes for you and your family.

Thank you lori my son is 8 he be 9 next month My son does get speech since he was 2 and half it ben awhile foe the hearing test just the one at the drs he getting A check up soon and they will do it there he did get ear tubes at 2and half years old. it hard i have two other sons and my youngest is almost three years old and i hope OT/Pt/ helps is your son on any meds foe his anxiety? I am not sure about doing it yet just going to se if Ot works. i would love to talk more. and i am always talking to the school .

Erika, good luck to you and your son...have you had his hearing tested? My son is 8 and has all these issues too. We found out he had hearing loss. Hope this helps. I too am available to chat since my son is a little older I may have answers to some of your questions. God bless!

I know EXACTLY what you are talking about! Has your son ever had his hearing tested?? My son is now 8. He also has adhd,sensory processing, anxiety, but we found out that it was hearing related. As far as the school goes, I insisted on my son being put in a multiple disabilities program because I found out that the school systems gt funding for the autistic programs so I felt that they were just going to dump my child in there to get the extra grant money. He is doing better. he gets speech therapy and OT. he has graduated now from PT. I joined our parents for special needs group in the school and that helps ALOT because I am in constant contact with all of the child studt teams and they know me. It is not easy by any means, especially the sensory issues but we just keep plugging along. How old is your son? Hi Lisa,

I have a 3 year old son who I had tested for Autism as well. The Pshyc said he's fine, but he does have speech delays, sensory issues, and anxiety as well. He's going to start pre-school in a few weeks. I don't have any advice for you, but I know what you're going through. Message me if you'd like to chat. Hope this helps a bit.
