my son was always a fatty & the dr even told us that he was overweight for his age. then out of the blue he just started losing weight.was told last feb that he has rumination disorder where he keeps bringing up his food & drink all the time. so they tried medication & that was nt working so there last option was the feeding tube & nw after waiting for over a yr for the surgery they wanna wait another 3 months when all cause he has gained a kg. he has never stayed going upin weight he has been goingup & dwn. he has been on so much medication i would nt even remember the names of them.

My son was always little, has CP. When he was 7 they put him on Baclofen, and he gained 35 lbs. in 3 monthes. He is now 18 and weighs over 200 lbs. They tried to talk us into a feeding tube, and we did not do it, as he ate great. He ate more than some adults if you would let him. We felt he was getting the nutrition he needed and chose not to do it. I am glad we did not, as I cannot imagine what he would weigh now.

my son is almost 6yr old & last feb he was 15kgs & was admitted to hospital 7 they tried putting a feeding tube in his nose but he kept pulling it out so we had 2 wait for over a yr 2 get one put into his stomach. nw he is only 18.5kgs. his weight always goes up & dwn. he was on this formula call

Pediasure. but even with taken that he would bring it back up so the dr said 2 wait till he got the feeding tube done then try it again..

Hi there, My daughter thats two yrs old is the same she also has GDD, hydrocephalus and feeding issues. Like I said she 2yrs old and weighs in at 9.6 kgs thta 22.2 pounds .Im seeing her specialist next week to request a feeding tube for two weeks trial, They usually do test like that to see if the child gains weigh
ts ,Maybe that might help to ask .Also is your child on a special diet or formula?
