Which therapies and supplements really work for your child?

My daughter was born at 32 weeks, 2 lbs 13 oz- IUGR baby. Her NICU ultrasounds never showed PVL but an MRI at 13 months did. (For unknown reasons her neuro decided to not disclose that finding to me UNTIL my recent appointment a couple of weeks ago. Over the phone 5 months ago- he told me there was nothing to worry about and that the MRI only showed obvious signs of prematurity. Pissed? Yes, I am.) This is fairly new to me and I am really researching treatments / therapies that work. We haven't received a cp diagnosis but I am arming myself with knowledge just in case so if it comes, I won't completely melt down. She is currently 18 months and can sit unassisted- IF I place her in that position. She is not crawling, walking or talking yet either. Weight is a little over 16 lbs. She has been getting PT and OT since she was 3 months old. She has recently started taking Anat Baniel Method lessons and has shown some improvement in her movements in the last month. Her sitting has really improved and she is using her hands much more. She has very strong legs but has a weak trunk with low tone.

Has anyone tried ABM, aquatic therapy, chiropractors, hippotherapy, music therapy?

Are you adding cod liver oil, fish oil or flaxseed oil to their diets?

If I didn't list it, PLEASE give me some advice of others to research and try.

Thank you!

Thanks for the great info and yes, I am more interested to hear about the non-toxic wellness technology.
I am very patient and loving with her all of the time. I never ever get frustrated with her. She can take her time that's fine with me. I wholeheartedly believe that negative vibes would only set her back.

To note a couple more things..when Brooke was 18 months she just learned to sit and was not crawling yet either. She began to army crawl first and after months began doing the 4 point crawl.
I live in CT and am here to talk anytime. It does get a little easier. Keep the faith and be positive around your child..the more positive vibes the better they will progress.

My daughter was born at 37 weeks and is now 4 years old. She has Hypotonic CP along with global dev delay. She still cannot walk independently yet..but has made some great strides over the past year. She can pull herself up to things and walk when I hold her hands. She has a problem with her balance still which prevents her from standing alone. We have tried all of the therapies you mentioned...hippotherapy was so fun and after 16 weeks Brooke began talking more...She also does aquatic therapy and music therapy.

Last September to be exact we started her on a non-toxic wellness technology.
This research & development company is bringing powerful, innovative, breakthrough, disruptive technologies to the wellness revolution, providing the greatest nutritional benefits to people, the likes of which the world has never seen until now.
Peer reviewed science & studies (non-toxic), made from plants - food technology. This technology is now being studied in major universities around the world.
I have been greatly blessed and now passing on this blessing to others.

If you would like to learn more email me directly at corinnetartaglia@yahoo.com
It has changed my daughter's life and her potential to live a typical life is getting closer and closer.
