Has any one ever had there child to have to have braces on there legs. If so how does it affect them in ther every day life? My five week old was born with bowed legs. Do you think it would be easier for him to get braces now and correct it or wait until he's a little older?

my son was born with bi-lateral club foot and had to have surgery on both feet and braces until he was two. from our experiance it has been a lot easier on him doing while hes younger. hes 3 now and has had one surgery but he might need another this year maybe next. but they said he wouldnt be walking till he was two and he was walking by 13 or 14 months. he needed braces from 3 mons-8 mons constantly day an night. then only at night till he was two. but you should talk to a specialist about it and see what they tell you, but i suggest getting it done sooner than later. it is hard at first getting use to your baby no being able to do everything a baby with out braces can do. but it really is the best thing for them. i hope everything turns out with your lil one:)
