i didnt know that there were music curiculum packages avalible. i though it was all "go and learn at a music house", but i got a catalogue in the mail today from calvert school and they have a "discoveries in music" kit that includes a dvd, book, and real instruments! i was wondering if anyone knew of other homeschool suppliers that did this for comparison. thanks!

I think that Sonlight just got one. Thanks for the info - we've been looking also.

I know SOnlight just did a big push for some curric for piano but it was WAY expensive. I use a cute little thing called Alfred's Music for little Mozarts. Rod and Staff has some workbooks too. I guess it depends on how much music you want them to know. We want to teach them to read music and play basic paino (most of which I can teach at home) then if they're interested in more, we'll do lessons or other instruments. Our homeschool group has a beginners and concert band.
