Am i cut out for homeschooling?

I feel like God is leading me to homeschool my children, bu this is sooo not me (so i thought) Just wanted to hear others stories of feeling totally underqualified to ake on this task. I know that with God all is possible, but i am really fearful; fearful that i am no smart enough, disciplined enough, organized enough, will she be socially awkward, etc....She is in K now so this would be starting in 1st grade.

If God is calling you to do this, then he will certainly equip you to do a great job. Studies have actually shown the the parents' level of education has no correlation to the success of the homeschooled student; ie, you do not have to be "smart". First grade does not even take more than a couple of hours a day so it should be fun. Really, once you teach your child how to read and how to learn, they can virtually teach themselves at the higher levels.

Homeschooling has been a wonderful adventure that I've been on for the past 16 years. I've learned so much that I didn't know before....about every subject.

As far as socialization goes goes, most homeschoolers I know are much more socially adept than those kids that are stuck in an artificial school environment for most of the day. Homeschooled kids know how to interact with adults and children of all ages.
