I wasen't homeschooled but I find it so interesting to see if any other mom's were homeschooled as kids. I would think that it would come much easier to a veteran rather than a newby like me:-)

I was homeschooled until 3rd grade. Both my parents and I wish we would have continued on but at the time us kids really wanted to go to public school. My advice is, don't give in and send your kids to public school just because they want to. Most of my siblings wish we would have been homeschooled longer.

I was homeschooled k-12 and my husband was homeschooled k-11 and went to private school for 12th grade. We haven't started homeschooling yet, we have a 1 year old and one on the way, but we plan to!

My husband went to public school K-7 and private 8-12. I went to public school. We're new to homeschooling this year. Our girls are 7 & 9. I've always wanted to do this and I love it! (BTW, neither of us had parents that would have been stable for homeschooling...think alcohol, mental illness, etc.)

I was homeschooled for 7th, 8th, 11th, and 12th grades.  I have used LifePacs, Abeka, ACE, Switched On Schoolhouse, other misc. stuff.  All of K-6 was public schooled, 9th was private Christian school, and 10th was public (me saying, Mom, I want to go to school!  BIG MISTAKE and I went back to homeschooling after that!).

My hubby was homeschooled from K-5 and went to school in 6th grade til 12th.

We both have very different experiences with it, him mostly bad, actually ... but we're definitely homeschooling all of our children and learning from our parents mistakes. ;-)

I was homeschooled exclusively 3rd-6th and 8th-12th. We moved a lot 1st & 2nd while preparing to move to the mission field, so I was bounced around between homeschool, a couple of public schools, and a couple of schools in Jordan where we served as missionaries. I agree with Kristin on the idea of having a good role model. My parents were pioneers as far as homeschooling on the mission field (with our missions organization) was concerned, and they fought for that right. Because of them, homeschooling is now not only a viable option on the field, but is also encouraged in many situations. I'm very proud to be a part of that legacy, and am excited to be a part of the growing homeschool community today.

I was homeschooled from 2nd-12th grade and my husband was homeschooled from 3rd-12th grade. We now have 2 kids, the first is preschool age and we plan to homeschool both of them. My husband and I had families where both parents were actively involved in our education and feel like we had great role models. Nowadays, there are so many more resources for parents, so I'm looking forward to all the support and opportunities that our children will have that we didn't have.

LOL! I was homeschooled for 6 months before my mother sent me and my sister back to school. I was in grade 7 and my sister grade 8. However, I really enjoyed those 6 months.

I was homeschooled for 3 years. Mainly because the public schools were terrible & my parents couldn't find a private school they liked. My husband was public school K-12. I was either homeschooled or going to private schools from 5th grade on....

I was public school, K-6 and then again for 10th, but homeschooled all the rest.

I can promise you that "veterans" have really, really rough days just like you!! :)

I have changed my "style" three times in the last year. I started this year out thinking "unschooling" was the way to go, then learned the deeper meaning behind it, and went classical. Now I am probably considered "delight directed" and "Charlotte Mason" smashed together.

My daughter loves not focusing. Learning to guide and teach her catering to her learning style is incredibly hard - she needs to fidget to focus and I just want to sit still and read a good book to learn.

Seriously, you are not alone! And it doesn't matter how old someone is or how long they've been in the homeschool movement - it can be tiring some days! But what a blessing.
