Rachel, thank you for your encouragement! I am just starting out on my journey of homeschooling. I have three kids, and my oldest is the one with ADHD. I am actually glad to be able to school him first, since I won't have a preconceived way of "this is how you are supposed to do it." I still have doubt, though, because the way I can see him learning best isn't the traditional way I learned... But isn't that why we homeschool? ;-)

I think this group is an excellent idea. I began homeschooling in 1993. We have 6 children, one with ADHD, 3 others with definite ADD, one with likely ADD, and didn't receive this diagnosis until 2001. I can vouch for the many ways this fact impacted our schooling. Had I known sooner, or had different input, I might have saved countless moments of self-doubt. We have one college grad, currently working on her masters, 2 other college students, a high school junior, (we have homeschooled until high school), and are down to our 11 and 13 yr olds still homeschooling. I hope many moms find your group. Thank you for taking action.
