Hi, We have decided on a 1st name Clare, and a family name Michelle as one of the middle names. We also need a Religious name as another middle name for a girl, but just can not agree on anything. Any suggestions. I like Hope & Faith. Faith in particular, but the baby's father does not agree. He likes Justice - NO WAY. Mary is ok, I like Eve but he doesn't. I don't fancy Rebekah.
Any suggestions please??

Ruth is sweet and strong :) You can always tweak it like Ruthanne or something of that nature too.

Cyndel has a great list! I would add one more - Elizabeth, Mother of John the Baptist. As we have been coming up with names we use the "how easy is it to say when you are yelling at them" criteria. I personally think Claire Elizabeth rolls off the tongue pretty easy. :) Good luck!!!

We might have a winner....... How exciting. We both agree on Trinity.

Our 1st daughter is Emily Grace Eibhlin which is a Family name, Religious name & an Irish name. Which is kinda a system we go with. If this one is a boy he will be Liam Anthony Padraig, but if this one is a girl we might be now going with Clare Trinity Michelle. Fingers crossed this will stick & he doesn't change his mind.

It's also nice as we got married in The Holy Trinity church in the city.

Clare Michelle Grace-Lynn?! I have boys sooo not so talented with girls names. Though Im sure I'll eventaly wind up in your shoes soon I am wanting more, hopefully girls. :P

My boys names are: Dayton Charles Hiram & Jacob Landon Alexander.

I went with 2 middle names as sort of a new tradition in my family because of my name being so short, but also wanted a name from the bible aswell being that I'm Christian.

Joy is my second daughters middle name because she was born near Chrismas and would be a a joy to my mother in the last year of her life. There's also Elizabeth, Mary, Martha, Sarah or Sara. Suggestion would be go to the Bible & write names down and see what you can decide on

Grace is my middle name and I love it! If I ever have another daughter, I would definitely lean toward Grace as a first name.

Clare Michelle Esther Clare Michelle Anna

Clare Michelle Leah Clare MIchelle Eden (I think this is very pretty)

Clare Michelle Hannah Clare Michelle Bethel

Clare Michelle Phebe Clare Michelle Lydia

I'm sooo happy we're not the only ones to name our kids with two middle names!
When I was pregnant with my daughter, I kept feeling like her middle name was supposed to be Joy. I actually don't care for Joy, but just "knew" that was it. It's so funny because now everyone talks about what a happy baby she is.
Also Lydia is in the Bible as well (I'm biased because that's my daughter's first name).
Jael, Abigail, Athaliah (bad character, but oddly enough- the name means "the Lord is great"), Joanna. A friend of mine named her daughter Patience.

Well... Michelle is the female form of Michael! Our second son's middle name is Michael after the only named archangel in the Bible. You could have a win win and just keep Michelle as the middle name. Other than that, I have always loved the name Rachel, the woman that holds that name in the bible was always a strong figure for me. But alas, lol, no girls here... three boys! So, I never got to use the name, lol.
I have to agree with your hubby, not that the names you like aren't beautiful, but with a one syllable first name, you need multiple syllables in the middle for it to roll off the tongue better... imho. Any other names I can think of have already been named by other posters so I won't relist them here, lol...
Good Luck to you and Congrats on your lil girl!

Esther (queen in the old testament), Ruth (a poor pagen who turned to God), Priscilla (A godly woman in the new testament, married to Aquila, friend to Paul), Anne, Candace (queen of Etheopia), Michal (King David's first wife), Sarah (Abraham's wife), Joy, Sarai (Sarah's name before God changed it), Rachel (One of Jacob's wives), Leah (Jacobs other wife), Dinah (Jacobs only daughter), Tamar (this name is used by two Old T women, Judah's daughter-in-law, and King David's daughter), Zipporah (Moses' wife), Miriam (Moses' sister), Deborah (A judge of the Israelites before there were kings), Rahab (a woman who hid two Israelites at great risk to her life was honored as one of the few women mentioned as Jesus' ancestors).
Just the first few that I either thought of or found. Hope this helps.

Sarah, Joy, Ruth, Grace, Esther, Rachel, Miriam, Anna.........? There are so many possibilities!

Maybe check out some websites with lists of Christian girls names and their meanings?
